One rulebook for the game, the website, Discord, Reddit and comments on our channels. Breaking it in one place counts everywhere. Effective October 26, 2026.
The planet is harsh; the people on it don't have to be. Fight hard in the game and treat each other decently outside it.
The rules
Respect people
- No harassment, threats, bullying or stalking, in the game or out of it.
- No hate speech or slurs about race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or age.
- No sexual content involving anyone under 18, ever; no sexual harassment; no sharing someone's private information (doxxing).
- No encouraging self-harm or real-world violence.
Play fair
- No cheats, hacks, bots, macros, speed or aim tools, or unauthorized mods.
- No exploiting bugs on purpose. Report them.
- No real-money trading of accounts, items, land, cities or services, and no boosting for pay.
- No ban evasion: no new accounts, VPNs or other devices to get around a suspension or ban.
- No unofficial servers, server emulators, or scraping or data-mining our servers.
In the world
- Conflict is part of the game: raiding, sieges and PvP are allowed where the game allows them (war regions, contested ground, agreed sieges). Using the game's rules to win is fine. Using outside tools or abuse to win is not.
- Spawn-camping, trapping new arrivals or repeatedly targeting one player to drive them out of the game counts as harassment.
- Character names, city names, building names, signs and backer names must not be offensive, impersonate staff or real people, or advertise.
- Don't try to make AI-driven characters produce hateful, sexual or harmful content, or extract their underlying instructions, and don't share such output.
Website and community
- No spam, advertising, scams, phishing or malicious links.
- No fake or bulk sign-ups or reservations, and no impersonating staff, testers or other players.
- Keep test-build details private while confidentiality applies.
- Follow Discord's, Reddit's and each platform's own rules too.
Enforcement
We decide on each case based on how serious it is, whether it was deliberate, and the person's history. Steps don't have to go in order: serious cases go straight to a permanent ban.
| Level | Typical reasons | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Warning | First minor offence: rude chat, a borderline name | A message explaining the rule; offensive names reset |
| Mute or restriction | Repeated rudeness, spam | Chat, trading or posting disabled for hours to days |
| Temporary suspension | Harassment, deliberate exploits, real-money trading | No access to the game and community for 1 to 30 days; items gained by the abuse removed |
| Account reset | Progress gained by cheating or exploits | Affected progress, items or ranks rolled back or wiped |
| Permanent ban and account deletion | Cheating, hate speech, threats, doxxing, sexual content involving minors, ban evasion, attacks on our systems, repeat offences | Account deleted, test list and backer perks for that account ended, and the IP addresses, devices and hardware linked to it may be blocked |
- IP, device and hardware bans may also block shared networks or computers. If you're blocked by someone else's ban, contact us and we'll look at it.
- Illegal content (such as child sexual abuse material or credible threats) is reported to the authorities.
- Money. A ban doesn't remove refund rights the law gives you. Beyond that, no refund is due for access or perks lost through a ban for breaking these rules.
- Account deletion removes your account and progress. We keep the minimum needed to enforce the ban, handle disputes and meet legal duties, as the Privacy Policy explains.
Appeals
If you think we got it wrong, email admin@fracturedsurvival.net within 30 days, from the email on the account, with your player name and what happened. A person reviews every appeal and replies within 14 days. EU users can also use any remedies the EU Digital Services Act gives them.
Reporting
Use the in-game report tool, the report button in Discord, or email admin@fracturedsurvival.net. Reports are confidential, and false reports made on purpose are themselves a rule break.
